Embassy of Indonesia arranged an exhibition of Cultural Commonalities between Indonesia and Pakistan with title “Confluence of Civilization between Indonesia and Pakistan” at Heritage Museum of Lok Virsa Islamabad on the eve of 20 July 2022 that was attended by a large number of participants including Parliamentarians, diplomats, civil society, business community and media persons.
Mr. and Mrs. H.E Adam M Tugio,the Ambassador of Indonesia played key role in holding this magnificent exhibition that enlightened many Pakistanis about the links between the cultures of both countries.
The Ambassador, in his address specially described about Indonesian Batik culture and Pakistani Ajrek. He said both have close similarities to each other.
Mr. Adam reminded the cultural cooperation between the film industries of both countries. He said Pakistani movie “Banddish” was filmed in Indonesia in which an Indonesian female artist also played lead role.
Another attraction was about how the trade of spices started in the world. Indonesia is the biggest spices producer country and Pakistanis are fond of spicy foods. The spices construct another solid connection between the two countries. 
Executive Director of Heritage Museum welcomed the guests from Indonesia and termed the exhibition a demonstration of strong bilateral bons in cultural and traditional sector. He offered his full cooperation and support for Embassy of Indonesia for further joint ventures in the future.
Different artifacts of Indonesian history and culture were source of huge interest taken by the visitors in the exhibition. Ambassador, his spouse and the staff was active to take the guest to different corners of the exhibition and brief them about their cultural heritage.
Some dishes from Indonesian cousin were also offered to the guests. The dishes were specially cooked under the supervision of the spouses of the Ambassador and other staff.
