Iran Restores Electric Supply to Gawader and Mekran on Pakistan’s Request

Islamabad; Special Report – 01 Aug 2021 – Ambassador of Iran H.E. Muhammad Ali Hussaini has said that Iran has started electric supply to Gawader and Mekran region of Pakistan. He shared that government of Pakistan and minister Hammad Azher contacted our government in this regard. Iran will provide more electricity to these areas. 

The ambassador was talking to a delegation of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce in his office. FPCCI office Bearers’ delegation called on the ambassador was let  by Haji Qurban Ali, Head FPCIC capital office Islamabad. Naveed Jan Baloch President Gwadar CCI was also present.

The delegation apprised the ambassador about the problems faced by business community of these areas due to cut in electric supply. Ambassador informed the delegation that supply has been already restored.

Ambassador said that Iran has billions of dollars trade with the countries of this region but trade with Pakistan needs boost according to the potential  both countries have.

“Iran and Pakistan enjoy very important geo strategic location. But we still have to exploit the opportunities to increase our bilateral trade volume. Pakistani businessman community should come forward in this regard.”  Ambassador emphasized.
