TEHRAN (IRNA) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in a message after hosting Pakistani and Omani delegations has stressed Iran’s commitments to strengthening peace and stability through diplimacy with neighbors.
Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi left Tehran late on Monday after holding meetings with senior Iranian officials.
In a post on his X account on Tuesday night, Araghchi stated that Iran’s commitment to peace and stability is being pursued alongside robust and sustained diplomacy with neighboring countries.
Referring to the talks held with Pakistani and Omani guests, he stressed that the meetings underscored the importance of regional solutions to existing issues.
Iran’s top diplomat also referred to the “proposed framework for establishing a new corridor, joint demining operations, and the future management of the Strait of Hormuz” as a clear example of this approach.
In his message, Araghchi identified regional diplomacy and cooperation among neighboring countries as key pillars in the path toward strengthening peace and stability in the region.
In a separate development, Araghchi conducted separate telephone conversations on Tuesday evening with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.

During the telephone conversation, both sides reviewed the latest regional developments and discussed various dimensions of the current situation. The two sides also exchanged views on diplomatic trends, ongoing efforts to advance political and diplomatic solutions, and ways to enhance bilateral consultations and cooperation.
Iran’s Minister of Interior Eskandar Momeni has described the meetings of Pakistani officials with Iran’s president and other authorities as positive.
Momeni noted that the meetings of Pakistani officials with senior Iranian officials were held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere. He added that both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi says that meetings with Iranian officials in Tehran were very positive and constructive, expressing hope that the diplomatic efforts would help pave the way for lasting peace in the region.
Naqvi, who accompanied Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir during his official visit to Iran, said he and the army chief held a productive meeting with President Masoud Pezeshkian.
He said the discussions focused on the Iran–US dispute, tensions in the Middle East and the path forward, adding that President Pezeshkian openly shared Iran’s views and concerns.
Naqvi said significant progress had been made during the talks and described the outcome as very positive. He expressed hope that the momentum would contribute to further progress and lasting regional peace.
During the meeting, President Pezeshkian stressed the need for the United States to honor its commitments to Iran in accordance with international law and Iran’s rights.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also said Iran was pursuing implementation of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and stressed that Washington must fulfill its commitments under the agreement.
