ISLAMABAD : The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has appointed H.E. Mr. Irfan Davudov as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan through a presidential decree.
He was serving as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov have been transferred to Malaysia with accreditation to Brunei.
Davudov was appointed Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Malaysia on July 23, 2021.
The appointment is being viewed as an important step toward further strengthening the longstanding diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Ambassador-designate Irfan Davudov is expected to play a significant role in expanding political, trade, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
Diplomatic and official circles have congratulated Ambassador Irfan Davudov on his new appointment and expressed their best wishes for a successful tenure in Islamabad.
