Islamabad – 15 April 2025 : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine affirms that the occupation’s brutal bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, its destruction and complete decommissioning, along with the displacement of patients and the wounded, who were thrown into the street, would not have occurred without the complicity of the international community and its failure to assume its responsibilities.

This is especially true given that the occupation has previously deliberately destroyed 34 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, putting them out of service, in conjunction with its ongoing policy of starvation, depriving citizens of their basic needs and medicine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers the targeting of hospitals, health centers, and medical personnel to be the most heinous form of genocide, a blatant disregard for the international community and humanitarian principles and laws.

It falls within the framework of a systematic Israeli policy to complete the destruction of all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip and transform it into a land unfit for human habitation, as a prelude to forcing citizens to emigrate by military force.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that the UN Security Council bears full responsibility for its failure to protect civilians, impose an immediate end to the genocide, open crossings, allow sustained aid delivery, and begin implementing all forms of relief and reconstruction.

Palestine Warns of the Dangers of New Israeli Evacuation and Displacement Orders in Gaza and Khan Younis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates views with grave concern the ongoing and expanding evacuation orders issued by the Israeli occupation forces, which targeted larger areas in the cities of Gaza and Khan Younis.

The Ministry views these orders as part of the continued systematic acts of genocide against the Palestinian people and the killing of more innocent civilians, and confining them to an increasingly narrow area, paving the way for their forced displacement through starvation, thirst, denial of medical care, and the stripping of their most basic human rights.

The Ministry reiterates the urgent need to end the brutal assaults and the targeting of innocent civilians, and calls on the international community to provide an immediate protection for the Palestinian people.

Pakistan Condemns Israeli Attack on Baptist Hospital in Gaza

Pakistan strongly condemns the bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza by Israeli occupation forces. This attack, part of a pattern of targeting medical facilities, constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. That it occurred on Palm Sunday, a sacred occasion for Christians, underscores Israel’s blatant disregard for religious sanctity and civilian lives.

Pakistan demands an immediate end to Israel’s ongoing atrocities, which have resulted in the indiscriminate killing of innocent and unarmed Palestinians, including women and children, and the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure.

Israel’s relentless assaults have crippled Gaza’s healthcare system, depriving critically ill patients of vital medical care. Coupled with the blockade on humanitarian aid, these actions reflect a deliberate strategy to prolong suffering and entrench conflict.

Pakistan calls for an immediate halt to the hostilities by Israeli occupying forces and reiterates its support for the two-State solution, with a viable, independent and sovereign State of Palestine on pre-June 1967 borders with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

Pakistan urges the international community to take decisive action to hold Israel accountable and protect Palestinian civilians from further violence.

An Israeli strike on Sunday heavily damaged one of a few functioning hospitals in Gaza, leaving behind scenes of devastation and fear and putting nearly one million people without access to emergency or ambulance care.

The strike on Al-Ahli Hospital in northern Gaza — also known as the Baptist or Ahli Arab Hospital — came a day after Israeli forces seized a key corridor in the territory and signalled plans to expand their bombing campaign.

Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, warned that putting the Baptist Hospital out of service has left nearly one million people without access to emergency or ambulance care.

He stressed that no medicine, medical supplies, or fuel had entered the Gaza Strip in over 40 days. He also revealed that most hospital oxygen stations are now out of service, placing the lives of dozens of patients in immediate danger.
