Italy Embassy to Pakistan in Islamabad is taking revenge of its own security laps from hundreds of Pakistanis who seek appointments for their genuine cases but find no response. Few weeks ago , 1 Thousand visa stickers were found missing in the embassy from its consulate section. Since then the Embassy has confined itself in a shell leaving no point to reach for routine matters of the residents of Italy with Pakistani origin.
After receiving a number of complaints from the concerned applicants, this scribe sent a query to all emails given at the website of the embassy but to our astonishment all mails returned with a note like this ;
The recipient’s mailbox is full and can’t accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly.
The following organization rejected your message: SVRP-EXCH-04.intranet.mae.dom.”
The query was mailed to all email addresses including the Ambassador and Press Section official emails.
Interestingly the emergency cell number +92 (0) 308-5557678. posted on the website is also not responding.
And when you call at the telephone numbers , Tel: +92 (0)51 2833183 – 188 only a machine speaks that can not guide the caller who is lost in dialing 1 for this and 2 for that.
Pakistanis are facing hardships both in Italy and Pakistan. Many have to file their documents that need attestation from the Embassy while hundreds have been stuck in Pakistan only because they can not travel back to their families and businesses in Italy.
The closure of the doors of the embassy is further disturbing them up to the psychological problems. These Pakistanis and their families has appealed to the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad to play their role in this regard and get a relief for them who have been abandoned by Italian Government and its Embassy in Islamabad.
