Today at the headquarters of the regional anti-terrorist structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (RATS SCO), a meeting of national coordinators with authorized representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs of the SCO states and partners, reports the correspondent of IA Dunya.
Senior diplomats from Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia participated in the event, along with national coordinators of the permanent members of the organization – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Nepal, Turkey and Sri – Lanka.
Delegations exchanged views on the status and prospects of interaction in the format of ′′ permanent members-observers-partners in the dialogue ′′ of the SCO in light of emerging new prospects for comprehensive cooperation and strengthening regional interrelation in a huge Eurasian space.
The meeting was also addressed by the General Secretary of the SCO Vladimir Norov, who emphasized the importance of the consistent implementation of the 2019 road map for cooperation with observers and dialogue partners, which offers great opportunities for the active involvement of all members of the SCO family.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in this format and in the future.
