ISLAMABAD : On September 30th, 2025, during the UNESCO World Conference MONDIACULT – 2025, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Marian Bachev, and the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, signed a Programme for Cooperation in the Field of Culture for 2025–2027.The agreement aims to deepen cultural exchange between Bulgaria and Pakistan through:
Joint participation in international festivals, exhibitions, book fairs, and seminars
Collaboration in the fields of museums, archaeology, and cultural heritage preservation
Translation and publication of literary works,Exchange of experts and academic delegations, Joint efforts to combat illegal trafficking of cultural property.
This partnership reaffirms the strong cultural connection between Bulgaria and Pakistan, and lays the foundation for sustainable, long-term cooperation based on mutual respect and shared values as the two countries celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
