Pakistan Kazakhstan to strengthen their Strategic Partnership in Science and Higher Education

ASTANA / Kazakhstan : The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H. E. Mr. Sayasat Nurbek, received the Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H. E. Mr. Wajiha Qamar, and members of the official delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides held comprehensive discussions on further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the fields of science and higher education, the internationalization of higher education, the development of transnational education, the expansion of academic and scientific cooperation, and the deepening of institutional collaboration between higher education institutions of the two countries.

Minister Sayasat Nurbek provided a detailed overview of the key priorities of the state policy implemented in recent years as part of the comprehensive modernization of Kazakhstan’s higher education and science system.

Particular emphasis was placed on the systematic efforts to attract world-class universities, establish branch campuses of leading foreign universities, expand institutional autonomy, align academic programmes with international standards, strengthen the research capacity of universities, advance digitalization, and enhance the export potential of Kazakhstan’s higher education sector.
