President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, President Islamabad Realtors Association , Sardar Tahir Mehmood has said that he has nothing to do with Life Residencia housing scheme about which National Accountability Bureau NAB has sought complaints from the affectees investors to investigate the scam of more than one billion rupees loot in the name of plots in Islamabad. On other side, reliable sources claim that he was equal partner in the disputed scheme.
NAB published a public notice in the newspapers regarding fraud with investors in Life Residentia on 20 June 2026. The investors have been directed to submit their complaints /claims within 30 days.
According to this notice, NAB is initiating an inquiry against management of the Life Residencia Islamabad for luring general public and collecting money in the name of plots, retained illegally collected money and did not give the possession to the claimants.
Senior journalist Ehsan Bukhari filed a report in this regard and shared the names of the management as Sarfaraz Sial and Sardar Tahir Mehmood , President ICCI.According to sources, one of the key suspects, Sarfraz Sial, is reportedly believed to have left the country.
The complainants allege that the owners of The Life Residencia, Sarfraz Sial and Sardar Tahir, collected billions of rupees from investors through the sale of files for the housing project.
Complainants claim that The Life Residencia neither possessed its own land nor had the required official approval as a housing society, yet allegedly sold files worth billions of rupees to investors. NAB is examining all aspects of the case and may also expand its investigation into the business of open-file transactions in other housing schemes.
The accused have not yet publicly responded to these allegations. The claims remain under investigation, and any determination of legal responsibility will depend on the outcome of NAB’s inquiry and subsequent court proceedings.
As far as Sardar Tahir Mehmood’s involvement is concerned , it is highly shocking for the members of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. It is first time that a realtor has been elected President of the chamber and the same may be summoned by NAB soon.
It is not as simple as he says I have nothing to do with this scam and it is over. He is behaving like a pigeon who closes eyes seeing cat in front him and considers cat is not there. He will be first inducted as he is here and he can not go under ground.
The scam may open doors to the inquiries into the affairs of other housing schemes as well including NOVA City, whose managers bribed journalists of Islamabad with Vigos , Blue World City, whose managers are facing many FIRs and they seek gov support as they first donated huge amount to Imran Khan the then Prime Minister and later one Nadeem Ejaz took ticket of PMLN and became MPA in Punjab. He visited China with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and signed MoU of one billion dollar with a chinese company.
Earlier, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) uncovered a massive land scam in the Islamabad Cooperative Housing Society (ICHS), resulting in the arrest of seven individuals, including former society office-bearers and associated land dealers.
Lets see , Life Residencia is going to help open a pandora box of looting public money in the name of plots or Islamabad Chamber of Commerce succeeds in saving its President and his partner.
