Tajikistan National Day Celebrations Kickstarted with Musical Evening at Centaurus Mall Islamabad

Tajikistan Embassy in Islamabad presented the art and culture of the state at Centaurus Mall attracting a large number of audiance from twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of The Centaurus Group and Advisor & National Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Tourism graced the festivity as Chief Guest and shared his views on the rich and captivating culture and traditions of the Republic of Tajikistan.

A vibrant and captivating Tajik cultural dance performance, showcasing the rich heritage and music by the renown singers and musicians of the Republic added to the beaurty of the evening in the capital city’s biggest shopping mall.

Ambassador , H.E. Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir welcomed the participants to the celebration and invited them to visit his country. Staff and families of Tajikistan were also present at the occasion.

The evening brought together distinguished diplomats, guests and members of the community for an inspiring celebration of the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Tajikistan. A visiting Tajik cultural troupe presented a captivating blend of traditional music, dance and artistic performances, receiving warm appreciation from the audience.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan took a prominent role in a vibrant cultural evening jointly organized by The Centaurus and the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan, bringing the rich cultural heritage of Tajikistan to the heart of Islamabad.

A particularly memorable moment came when a Tajik singer performed the iconic Pakistani national song “Sohni Dharti Allah Rakhay.” The heartfelt rendition received a standing ovation and beautifully reflected the warmth, mutual respect and affection shared between the peoples of the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan commended the exceptional performances of the Tajik artists and expressed his appreciation to H.E. Yusuf Sharifzoda, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, for his valuable collaboration with The Centaurus in advancing cultural diplomacy and people-to-people engagement.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan highlighted the vital role of cultural exchanges in bringing nations closer and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to deepening relations with Central Asian countries through tourism, trade, cultural cooperation and stronger regional connectivity.

He further underscored the importance of presenting Pakistan’s extraordinary natural beauty, historical heritage and diverse culture to international audiences, while creating greater opportunities for foreign tourism and meaningful cultural engagement.
