President PTI, UAE, Nawaz Khan Jadoon has said that Overseas Convention on the theme of ” Thank You – Imran Khan” is meant to express full confidence of Overseas Pakistanis on the leadership Prime Minister Imran Khan. It is already scheduled convention since 3 months ago. It has not been organized suddenly after the Opposition’s no confidence move but more than one thousand representatives from across the globe from Americas to Australia are participating in the conference, that is itself an expression of confidence on PM Imran by the majority of 9 Million overseas Pakistanis.
Mr. Nawaz Khan Jadoon was addressing to a press conference at Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) in Islamabad. Chairperson COPAIR MS Amna Malik was also present. She, in her introductory remarks, welcomes Nawaz Khan Jadoon and his delegation to Islamabad and shared that Nawaz Khan Jadoon is financial expert and runs a construction company “Tameer” in UAE. He intends to start projects of hotels and resorts in Islamabad that will benefit the economy of Pakistan a lot and produce large number of employment opportunities.
President PTI, UAE said that Overseas Convention will continue for 3 Days starting from Sunday 13 March. The services of expatriate Pakistanis for the country will be recognized in the convention. Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the convention. Dr Abdullah Riar, Secretary PTI overseas chapter and Asad Umar, secretary general discussed and developed the plan for the first-ever convention of overseas Pakistanis in Jan this year. 
Overseas Pakistanis from around the world have arrived to attend the convention. It is first time after many years that all hotels of the capital city are fully occupied during this activity. Remittances which used to be around 18 Billion Dollars in the past now stand over 30 Billion.
Nawaz Khan Jadoon appreciated the launch of Roshan Digital Account facility for overseas. Account holders have also been given facility to get loans from banks for construction of houses in the country. ” Overseas had to send money to home through hawalah or hundi mostly. Other routes available for this purpose were not as beneficial for them as RDA is. Their remittances through RDA are not only safe but their conversion value is not lowered and they are given other monetary benefits as well.” He said.
Overseas Pakistanis have welcomed RDA practically. They have sent 3.5 Billion Dollars to Pakistan since the launch of RDA.
Mr. Nawaz Khan Jadoon termed the right of vote for overseas as historic step in the recognition of their importance in national affairs. He said overseas deserved the right to vote that has been given by Prime Minister rightly to play their role in the development of their country.
He was team of Imran during fund raising for Shaukat Khanum Hospital. He shared that once a non Muslim contacted me to donate 100 thousand Dollars in fund. I asked Imran Khan but he refused saying that “We will take funds from our own community only”. This clearly shows the integrity of our leader.
Editor Tazeen Akhtar asked question about 37 thousand cases of banned passports of Pakistanis in the Interior Ministry. They are not criminals or terrorists but only accused of double IDs to get an employment abroad. Interior Ministry is neither clearing them nor taking any decision to award punishments whatsoever. They can not do anything until the Ministry clears them.
Nawaz Khan Jadoon replied that all issues of overseas will be discussed in the convention and we are hopeful that required steps will be taken by the government.
He shed light on recently held Pakistan Expo in Dubai. ” Pakistani pavilions attracted the second largest number of visitors in this expo in 198 countries. Provincial pavilions were established separately on monthly basis. Punjab pavilion signed MoUs of 12 Billion Dollars while KPK pavilion inked 08 Billion Dollars worth.”
Nawaz Khan Jadoon has traveled to 64 countries of the world. He is investing in Pakistan on large scale in different sectors especially the tourism and hospitality industry. His company Tameer has the honor of construction of the highest tower “Princes” in Dubai Marina. His intended projects in Pakistan are travel and tourism in GB, Solar in KPK and hotels, resorts in Islamabad.
