RABAT / Morocco : His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has issued his Very High Instructions for the dispatch of emergency humanitarian and medical aid to the brotherly Palestinian people, particularly the populations of the Gaza Strip, said, on Wednesday in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
This support, totaling nearly 180 tons, consists of basic foodstuffs, milk, and children’s products, as well as medicines and surgical equipment for the most vulnerable populations. It also includes blankets, suitable tents, and other equipment.
The aid will be transported via a specially arranged route, allowing for rapid and direct delivery to Palestinian beneficiaries.
In March 2024, Morocco launched an unprecedented initiative: humanitarian aid shipments (around 40 tons) were transported to Gaza by land via Israel, after air transit to Tel Aviv. This marked a world first in the delivery of aid to Gaza. The Kingdom was the first country to make this land logistical breakthrough towards Gaza and Al Quds.
This humanitarian aid is part of the concrete solidarity that continuously drives the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as its unwavering commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Palestinian cause and its brotherly people, the statement concluded.
