Translation of Nepali Literature into Urdu & other Pakistani Languages Discussed

Islamabad ; 01 Sep 2021 – Ambassador of Nepal, Mr Tapas Adhikari had a meeting with the Chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk in Islamabad and  exchanged the views to enhance cooperation in the field of literature between Nepal and Pakistan.

He also discussed on the possibility of Nepali and Pakistani literary exchange to further enrich mutual understanding between Nepal and Pakistan. He suggested PAL to translate Nepali literature into Urdu and other Pakistani languages that could be helpful to reach Nepali literature into Pakistani people.

Since Nepal and Pakistan have been enjoying close and friendly relationship, both officials also discussed on the need to include Nepali and Pakistani literature in our education system for better understanding of contemporary literature of neighborhood.

Ambassador presented Urdu translated copies of Sardar Rudra Raj Pandey’s “Roopamati” to Prof. Khushk.
