Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye, H.E Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, quoting Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, has made it clear and to the world that Turkiye would not accept captivity, that Turkiye would not let shackles be put on its will, and that Turkiye would never compromise on living independently in its own homeland. Turkiye will continue moving forward towards the goals of Turkish Century. A global order is our destination where everyone is represented justly.
He reminded this to the friends and foes in his welcome address at 102nd Victory Day of Turkiye that was celebrated by the Turkish embassy on 30 Aug 2024 in Islamabad. Defence Attache Brig. General Umut Onol was also present at this occasion.
Basically, the President of the Republic, H.E Recep Tayyip Erdogan issues a statement on this occasion every year and the same is read by the Ambassadors in their respective countries of service. Therefore President Erdogan’s words were conveyed by Ambassador.
Dr Mehmet Pacaci, the Ambassador has completed his tenure in Pakistan. He has been posted as Special Representative of Secretary General OIC on Islamphobea. Dr Mehmet has a lot of research work on the topic at his credit.
In the event, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh,Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi, Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of the GHQ Lieutenant General Avais Dastgir, former KP chief minister Salim Saifullah Khan, JUI Secretary General Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Shaista Pervez Malik MNA and many other parliamentarians , officials were present.
The Minister congratulated Turkiye and said Pak-Turk relations will prosper further. Both nations stand with each other to overcome challenges. The Minister also appreciated the efforts of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to give key preference to Pakistan in his foreign policy.
Dean of Diplomatic Corp , Ambassador Turkmenistan H.E Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassadors of Central Asia, Asia, Europe, Africa, also graced the reception with their presence.
101st Anniversary of the Great Victory of Turkiye Celebrated in Islamabad
Ambassador read the message of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ;
“Today, we are all celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the Great Victory with enthusiasm, excitement and pride. On this important day, one of the critical milestones in our history, I congratulate the August 30 Victory Day of our beloved nation, our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters, and our millions of citizens all over the world.”
On this momentous date, which is one of the critical thresholds of our history, I would like to congratulate August 30 Victory Day of our glorious nation, our Turkish Cypriot brothers and million of citizens all over the World.
The Great Victory, which Ghazi mustafa Kemal Ataturk defines as “the immortal monument of the Turkish Nation’s idea of freedom and independence” has eternally assured the existence of our nation in the Anatolian lands.
With the August 30 battle of the Commander -in-Chief , the armies of occupation were decisively defeated, the axis of imperialism were destroyed and the gates leading to the proclamation of the Republic were wide opened.
The Great Victory , achieved by virtue of the heroism of our martyrs , the blood of our veterans and the sacrifices of our nation, guides us today as well.
