Woman is the Enemy of Woman – Proved Again between Falak Javed of PTI & Azma Bukhari the Info Min of PMLN

As I have always noted that “Women is the enemy of Women” another story is the talk of all towns of this state that was established as the fort of Islam and that is called Islamic Republic of Pakistan. If we let Islamic alone, the word Pakistan also demands us to be pure and not filthy and disgusting like what our mainstream politics is showing us every other day. Audio and Video leaks have been made a weapon to teach the lessons to the adversaries.

Latest is a controversial video leak of some highly personnel and private moments of an unknown couple and attribution of the video to Information Minister Punjab Ms Azma Bukhari has shocked the political circles especially the parliamentarians and most importantly the women members of assemblies as the same can happen with all what Azma Bukhari is subjected to at present.

State Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced  the initiation of a legal battle against those involved in making a deepfake video of Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari.

Addressing a press conference alongside the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Zaib Jaffar, Wajiha Akram and other Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) women leaders, she said that the original video and related information had been obtained.

On other side, Azma took the case to Lahore high court where she alleged that PTI hot favorite woman Sanam Javed’s sister Falak Javed has leaked this video. Azma and Falak had a hot debate on social media soon after the video was leaked. Falak said two things 1- Yes! I have shared the video but there is no caption that who is the woman in the video, 2- I have not shared the video , neither I have given your (Azma’s) name there.

Lahore high court has ordered FIA to accept the matter and investigate. Azma has sought the name of Falak Javed be placed at Exit Control List as she will soon leave the country after leaking the video. But the court has decided to wait for the investigation report of FIA.

In the press conference in Islamabad,Shaza Fatima Khawaja expressed gratitude to social media platforms for removing the video and assured that the government would pursue the case with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) effectively and forcefully. She said that every person involved in this crime would be traced and given exemplary punishment.

She accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of indulging in a reprehensible act by using deepfake technology against PML-N leader Azma Bukhari as part of a well-thought-out conspiracy. Criticizing PTI for this shameful act, she claimed it exposed the true nature of the party.

The minister praised Azma Bukhari as a brave woman who effectively presented the government’s point of view. She condemned the defamation and character assassination of women politicians and said that no one would be allowed to harass or defame women.

She accused PTI leaders and workers of using abusive language against women politicians and claimed that PTI engages in politics of negative propaganda, politics of hate, and confrontation.

 In response to a question, she highlighted that the PML-N government had implemented a women’s quota in the past and was determined to continue this in the future.She said that the empowerment of women is crucial for the country’s progress, prosperity, and development.

She added that during a recent meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued directives to law enforcement agencies, including the FIA, and the Ministers of Interior and IT, to take strict actions against those targeting and defaming the women.

This is the state of the state that is very hard to state. On one side the state is passing through a very critical turn and on the other side the politicians are indulged in personal and private leaks. Certainly Azma Bukhari is not in the video. But the leak culture has made up the minds of the public as if the videos are original and the characters in the leaks are the same whose names are surfacing.

Both waring parties are doing the same with each other. The public earlier have seen and heard about the leaks of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan, Zartaj Gul, Azam Swati and others from PTI while Pervez Rasheed, Mohammad Zubair and others from PMLN. Actually there are hundreds. This is what our politicians are doing when the public is looking at them to solve their problems.

Azma Bukhari has been victimized in a technical way. The video seems to be made especially with a woman of the same size and weight as Azma has. Dressing has also been given special look like Azma wears most often. The video shared without caption only to remain safe from legal action. It is simple that when the video shared the followers commented about Azma and then shared with her name and it became viral.

Here it is worth noting that this is the second in PMLN who is the main media manager and who has been targeted with a highly objectionable video leak. It means the perpetrators can hit more women in PMLN and that who remain at the media most often.

People remember the hard talk between Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan and Kashmala Tariq at a tv show and the remarks both of them hurled to each other speak a lot about how low we go only to malign the repute of the persons whom we do not like. The politicians are the models for the public but in this pure land the role of politicians is not a model to follow. Corruption was one thing and now the leak culture has left no dignity and honor for them in the eyes of the public.
