AMBASSADOR OF UZBEKISTAN MR.OYBEK USMANOV CALLED ON NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR PAKISTAN DR. MOEED YUSUF, IN ISLAMABAD.
Islamabad; 28 Oct 2021 – Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mr. Aybek Arif Usmanov called on SAPM on National Security Mr Moeed Yousuf and discussed promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries. Defence Attache Col Saad Ullah also accompanied the Ambassador in the Meeting.
SAPM welcomed the guest in his office and shared that Pakistan attaches high respect to relations with Uzbekistan. He said that the regional security situation and the present state of Afghanistan requires common approach of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan to save this country from more disaster.
Ambassador briefed SAPM on what Uzbekistan is contributing to support the Afghan people on humanitarian basis. That include open borders, continuous supply of electricity and sending food items for deserving people in Afghanistan.
Both sides agreed that combined efforts of neighboring countries can help Afghan nation in construction of peace and stability in their country that can further pave the way to make connectivity projects successful.
