Moscow : 18 Nov 2025 – The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, called on President Vladimir Putin along with other Heads of Government Delegations of SCO Member States.Mr. Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk in his office after the conclusion of the SCO CHG meetings in Moscow.
The two leaders conducted a substantive review of the full spectrum of Pakistan–Russia relations, focusing on strengthening cooperation across political, economic, energy, connectivity, agricultural, industrial, educational and people-to-people domains through institutionalised mechanisms.
DPM Overchuk recalled his recent visits to Pakistan and acknowledged Pakistan’s potential as a regional hub for transit and connectivity. Both leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global developments and reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced cooperation at bilateral and multilateral fora, including the UN and the SCO.
He held a bilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
The DPM/FM thanked the Russian Foreign Minister for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality as well as congratulated him on the successful holding of the SCO CHG meeting. Both leaders discussed Pak–Russia bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction at their positive trajectory, noting the key role of leadership-level engagement & institutional mechanisms in advancing cooperation.
The two leaders also exchanged views on current regional & global developments and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening coordination at multilateral fora, including the UN and the SCO.
