Kabul: Monitoring Desk – The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Afghanistan, Mr. Ilham Mammadov, called on Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Alhaj Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanekzai.
During the meeting, DFM Stanekzai conveyed his condolences regarding the recent Azerbaijani plane crash & reiterated Afghanistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations in political, economic, and social spheres.
Expressing gratitude for message of condolences by Afghan government, Mr. Mammadov described it as a great manifestation of the spirit of solidarity & brotherhood between the two countries.
Adding further, he said that Azerbaijan is interested to expand political engagement with Afghanistan, stating that his country stands ready to have economic cooperation with Afghanistan.
Also, he recognised strengthening bilateral relations as of high importance for both nations.
