Azerbaijan Embassy in Kabul Commences Mission – Ilahm Mammadov Assumes Charge – Calls on FM Afghanistan

KABUL: Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan to Afghanistan, H.E Ilham Mammadov has assumed the charge of his responsibilities after presenting his credentials to Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan.

For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan -Afghanistan relations the flag of Azerbaijan is flying in Kabul. The Embassy of Azerbaijan has commenced its mission.

Ilham Mammedov has served his country in different positions as diplomat. He carries a vast experience of working in hard conditions and bridging the gaps between the nations. He has served in Pakistan for many years. Therefore he understands the dynamics of Afghanistan as well. His posting in Kabul will definitely improve the bilateral relations and economic cooperation between two countries.
