Chief Minister of Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan, has said President Xi is a role model for her and she follows his philosophy and policies of shared development. She has said President Xi is exemplary leader and called herself an “ardent follower” of his philosophy during her official visit to China.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted her admiration for President Xi’s concepts of common prosperity, soft power, shared human goals, security, stability, and the sovereignty of all nations.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz , who is on visit to China, met Party Secretary He Zongyu in Guiyang, Guizhou. During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz Sharif proposed holding a business and investment conference focused on technology transfer and local manufacturing.
A proposal was made to establish a joint working group for digital cooperation, artificial intelligence, and smart agriculture.
She commended President Xi’s leadership role and emphasized turning the long-standing Pak-China friendship into deeper economic and technological partnerships.
CM Punjab had a meetings with officials of Huawei, and Alibaba. She said, Punjab is eager to learn from their AI medical interventions.
” Pakistan and China share a historic, time-tested, and all-weather friendship. This year, we proudly celebrate the 75th anniversary of our beautiful, ideal diplomatic relations. This relationship is not between two governments and two countries. It is a relationship between hearts, between peoples, and our two nations, which is built on trust, which is built on mutual respect, which is built on affection, and which is built on mutual cooperation and support, CM said in her statement.
She shared with Chinese officials , Punjab is also undergoing rapid transformation. Punjab has made a lot of strides. We are completing about 50,000 km of new roads. We have now a complete electric mobility infrastructure as well. We’ve imported the buses from China.
Punjab is improving air quality increasing green cover, a forest cover, and millions of trees have been planted. And this is the only way to combat nature’s fury.
She praised the digital transformation of China and said , Punjab happens to be the most AI-enabled province. We are investing hugely in AI. Punjab is the only province to have a dedicated AI office. It is called the Office of the AI.
Maryam said, we are trying to implement all that we can, make use of the technology not only in governance, but in everything that we come across, be it health, be it education, be it livestock, be it agriculture.
