Islamabad; 03 July 2021 – Editor Pakistan in the World and Daily Azkaar Islamabad Mr. Tazeen Akhtar called on H.E Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The meeting was aimed at having introduction with each other as the Ambassador has recently assumed his duties here but present status of bilateral relations and prospects of further enhancing the information about Kazakhstan and increase in connections for increasing cooperation also came under discussion.
Ambassador warmly received the Editor in his office and expressed that he is keen to build mutual bonds on sustainable basis of close political relations and strong economic ties. Both countries enjoy cordial relations and it is very conducive to turn these exemplary relations into mutually beneficial people to people and business to business contacts.
Editor Tazeen Akhtar suggested that everything depends upon one thing and that is direct connectivity, even by road or air. We can highlight the commonalities to increase the knowledge about Kazakhstan among the people of Pakistan.
Editor said that our people have only one destination for tourism from Kazakhstan to Turkey that is Istanbul and that because they have the option of direct flights. Having the opportunity to travel directly to Kazakhstan , people of Pakistan would love to fly to Nur Sultan, Almaty and other cities and tourist spots of Kazakhstan.
Ambassador noted that both countries are working on starting direct flights.
At the talk held the two covered the current development of Kazakh-Pak relationship and agreed on strengthening cooperation in the domain of media.
Ambassador said that we can publish a dictionary of basic and common words to take a start towards increasing the knowledge of our country in people of Pakistan. Editor welcomed and assured his support in this regard.
He was enthusiastic about giving the present status of relations a new turn. He said that sports is another good area where two countries can build bridges. He shared that boxing is very popular in Kazakhstan.
