This is another story from the Tricky Real Estate sector of Pakistan that is always desperate to promote the impression of international collaboration only to impress the investor and this way make money by selling papers only and not the land actually. Turkiye has been favorit for property dealers and realtors of Pakistan.
This picture has been shared by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce along with a press release that ;
1- The President Sardar Tahir Mehmood , Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub and Secretary General Ghulam Murtaza expressed gratitude to Ambassador for the Embassy issued visas to them for Istanbul Business Conference of ICCI
@ The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Capital City of Pakistan and his team was not sure about getting visas ………… Or they took some irrelevant persons in business cover ?
2- Ambassador asked President ICCI to remain personally in touch with him to promote business cooperation ………….
@ Looks personal promotion as the President ICCI is about to complete his tenure. The Embassy has not issued any press release or statement in this regard.
Sardar Tahir Mehmood , only few weeks ago, narrowly escaped a NAB inquiry into his involvement in a big Real Estate Scam. And that only on assurance to NAB that the investors of LIFE Residencia will get their plots soon that seems not possible.
3- ICCI PR says – The sides discussed how to take bilateral trade up to $5 Billion.
@ Total bilateral trade is around $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion annually. Türkiye maintains a trade surplus with Pakistan, with Turkish exports outpacing Pakistani imports.
Pakistan’s Exports to Türkiye: Chiefly include cotton products (such as heavy pure woven cotton and cotton yarn), semi-finished iron, leather goods, and rice/cereals.
Türkiye’s Exports to Pakistan: Chiefly include textiles, machinery, electrical equipment, and chemical products. ( MILGEM Project is Separate)
Now ICCI President is supposed to state clearly how it is possible for Pakistan to ; First bring balance in trade with Turkiye and what Pakistan can export/import to fill the gap of $ 4 billion to reach the target of $5 Billion ?
One and only sector is Real Estate and Construction !
Sardar Tahir has made money from the same ! Sardar Tahir Mehmood is not even a businessman or trader ! He is a Realtor who earned money from LIFE RESIDENCIA selling files on 15 % commission ! That is more than available plots ! In large numbers ! That is why the victim investors are protesting in Islamabad !
Many in Pakistan tried to exploit countrymen with Turkish Touch to their Real Estate and Construction Projects but now the Pakistanis are fed up of these dramas ! The desperation of ICCI President to be linked with Turkish was seen in his same business awards conference where he was having pictures with an actor of Ertugrul Drama.
ICCI business awards in Istanbul had nothing to do with promotion of trade between two states , neither any of the delegation signed a single MoU , let alone agreement with any Turkish firm.
Interestingly , a press release was shared to selected media persons after the awards in Istanbul but there was no description WHO received the award for WHAT ? No name No particular info …………………..
The only name in the press release was Zohair Majeed, Director Faisal Town Group, Son of Chaudhry Majeed the owner and CEO of this Real Estate company.
Another interesting thing is , only one picture was published with this press release and that was Sardar Tahir Mehmood presenting an award to Zohair Majeed. One and only pic and that of the Director of the Real Estate Project whose files Sardar Tahir Mehmood will sell at 15 %.
This speaks a lot about promotion of Faisal Hills Real Estate Project with Turkish Touch to attract the investors. This is the reality of business awards in Istanbul and this is the reality of covering a personal benefit attempt in the garb of promotion of Pakistan Turkiye trade cooperation.
This Scheme will pay the President ICCI 15 % commission on each File like Life Residencia. Lets see this Scheme goes smooth legally or becomes another Scam …….
