ISLAMABAD : Monitoring Desk – Kazakhstan and China have signed more than 70 commercial agreements worth over US$15 billion during the working visit of President Kassym Jomart Tokayev to the neighbor China.The agreements, signed in Shanghai, cover a broad range of sectors, including artificial intelligence and digitalization, transport infrastructure, finance, the agro-industrial sector, mechanical engineering, and other high-tech industries.
During the roundtable with executives of China’s leading high-tech companies, a ceremony was held for the exchange of signed commercial agreements:
1. Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
2. Agreement on the Procurement of Technological Solutions and Equipment between JSC Samruk-Kazyna and Huawei Technologies.
3. Memorandum of Understanding on the development of electric vehicle infrastructure and the application of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan’s automotive industry between JSC Samruk-Kazyna, Freedom Holding Corp., the Astana City Akimat, and Geely Auto Group.
4. Agreement on Services for Issuers of Offshore Bonds in the Free Trade Zone between the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and China Central Depository & Clearing Co., Ltd.
5. Long-Term Strategic Cooperation Agreement for the implementation of the investment project “Construction of Coke Battery Complexes No. 8 and No. 9 and a Coke Oven Gas Purification System” between Qarmet JSC, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, and Acre Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation.
6. Industrial Cooperation Agreement on the implementation of the Li Auto vehicle manufacturing project in the Republic of Kazakhstan between Allur Group JSC and Li Auto Inc.
7. Investment Agreement for the project “Construction of the First Phase of the Multifunctional Terminal at Kuryk Port” between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Mangystau Region Akimat, and Kazakhstan Guoyou Investment.
8. Cooperation Agreement on the implementation of joint projects for equipping border checkpoints with inspection equipment and developing industrial localization of manufacturing in Kazakhstan between the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NUCTECH Company Limited.
9. Technology Licensing Agreement for the production of OMODA and JAECOO vehicles at Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan between Astana Group and Chery Holding Group.
10. Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Qazbot Technologies and Agibot PTE.
11. Agreement on the Basic Principles of Cooperation within the framework of the Data Center Valley initiative between Kazakhtelecom JSC and HV & Submarine Hengtong Group.
12. Exclusive Cooperation Agreement for the project “Kazakhstan-China International Logistics Corridor (Two Khorgos-Eastern Gate Parks)” between Harvest Group and Minmetals Logistics Group Co., Ltd.
13. Construction Agreement between Transtelecom JSC and GuoDong Group for the development of antenna mast infrastructure.
14. Memorandum of Cooperation between Qazaq AI Research University and the Shanghai Innovation Institute.
15. Cooperation Agreement on the development of artificial intelligence and robotics in the city of Almaty between the Almaty City Akimat, NERO Group, and UBTECH Robotics.
16. Agreement between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Soochow University on the establishment of a joint institute.
17. Cooperation Agreement between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Jiangsu Huibo Robot Technology.
