Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is in Beijing after his the most recent visit to Washington and marathon meetings with US parliamentarians. One of his activity there raised controversies that he later contradicted. He was found and seen at a reception that was hosted by Federal State of China that is said to be anti Communist Party and self styled Gov of China in Exile.
In Beijing now, definitely he will further do more to quash that impression and assure Pakistan’s One China policy but security of Chinese citizens will remain at the top of agenda from China side certainly. That is why the first official meeting took place between the two interior ministers and not in between other ministers or Presidents even.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari also arrived Beijing but Minister Interior’s schedule is most of the time like his own program with the engagements he know only. Same was observed in his Washington visit for oath taking of Trump while Pakistani foreign office was unaware of his tour.
President Zardari was warmly received by Chinese Finance Minister Lan Fo’an, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and Ambassador of China in Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, on his arrival at the Beijing International Airport. He was accompanied by a delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Senator Saleem Mandviwala and Dr Asim Hussain.
Pakistani Minister met with his Chinese counterpart, Qi Yanjun during his visit to China. Both sides agreed to further improve intelligence sharing. During the meeting, both sides also discussed cooperation to further secure the border between the two countries.

Moreover, The use of modern technology for police and paramilitary forces was also discussed. A detailed discussion was held on acquiring modern equipment and technology for the police from China. Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan will purchase modern technology and equipment for the police from China.
During the meeting, cooperation with the National Police Academy was also discussed. It was decided to increase cooperation between the Beijing Police and Islamabad Police. Both sides also expressed Satisfaction over the Joint Working Group meeting held in January.
The meeting between the Federal Interior Minister and his Chinese counterpart lasted for two hours. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also invited his Chinese counterpart to visit Pakistan.
Here it is worth mentioning that many things have been done and most of the necessary steps have already been taken as far as security is concerned. Therefore , this time some extraordinary measures are expected , whatever , to be taken from both sides. China has expressed sever concerns in the past and a proposal of taking over the security of citizens has already been surfaced between the two capitals.
