Senior Policy Specialist at Strategic Planning Cell of the National Security Division of Pakistan, Mr. Faheem Sardar has been brutally murdered at his home on the eve of 25 June 2025. He was living at school road of G-6/3 Sector near covered market Islamabad.
He was a very expressive person and was frequently sharing his views on policy matters regarding economy and security at different high level fora in Islamabad. He was appearing on tv channels regularly as an expert.
Who killed Faheem is still a mystery even today on 26 June at the time of filing of this article at 3-20 PM. The Police station concerned is Abpara but the situation compels to speculate that the investigation is being carried out from some very higher position.
The Police reached the spot on the tip at about 7-30 in the evening where the dead body of Faheem Sardar was found having cuts of sharp weapons but the death has been reported with head injury. His hands were tied with rope.
Astonishingly, no media outlet has reported this high profile murder at the victim’s home while the tv channels are always seeking the breaking news. Moreover , no newspaper has published any news on this murder. It is mostly when, the media is stopped from some very powerful authority.

The police was again at the scene of crime today but no officials was ready to share anything about the murder . The officials have only one answer that it is too early to say anything.
On the other hand, the family is in shock and no FIR has been registered so far. It has been learnt that the funeral will be held on 27 June and after that the FIR can be filed by the family. The family was at home or not at the time of murder? That question is also unanswered because no one has the approach to the family.
It is not clear that the family was at home or not at the time of murder. Also nothing has surfaced that something from the home is missing or not.
Proper FIR will be registered after funeral tomorrow. Postmortem in poly clinic has been done. Forensic team is at the scene of crime. The Investigation Officer tells me it’s too soon to comment formally on anything until the reports come. Being tied & killed by head injury part has been confirmed.

Postmortem was conducted at Poly Clinic while the Forensic team have collected the evidences from the spot.
Faheem’s brutal blind murder at home in a central area of the capital city can be taken as whistle blower by the law enforcing agencies. His position at the highest forum related to defense of the country adds to the speculations that is is not robbery attempt or personal enmity but something else.
This murder has increased the apprehensions of the commoners about security and safety situation in the capital city of Pakistan. Certainly, if a person like Faheem can be murdered in a relatively safe sector , who is safe here?
