President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has ordered a major reshuffle in the cabinet including Foreign Minister Kuleba on 04 Sep, at a cruicial juncture of war with Russia. Ukrainian President is looking for “New Energy” in 6 ministries. All ministers have submitted their resignations. It is being seen as strange step by many observers in the West and the East, North and South. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba was the only face other than the President to gather support from the World.
President Zelenskyy announced this decision during a joint news conference with visiting Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris on 04 Sep 2024. He said “We need new energy today, and these steps are related only to the strengthening of our state in different directions.”
Zelenskyy did not say anything about the performance of the ministers but gave rise to the impression that they (ministers) utilized their full energy as well as abilities to serve their country and now they need rest and vacate the positions for fresh candidates with new energy and new ideas.
He will soon visit USA for attraction of more support in shape of finance and weapons. Earlier , He had conversations with his Western allies before making a change in his team. As he announced it in joint press conference with Irish Prime Minister.

It is astonishing for the observers that the President needs Energy in Foreign Ministry as well that has proved equal to the task throughout the hectic period of war. He traveled through the length and the breadth of the World for his country and performed very well.
The other important ministers who have resigned are Deputy Prime Minister who was in charge of European integration, Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin who was overseeing Ukraine’s arms production.
Ukrainian diplomatic sources were reluctant to confirm the resignation of Mr. Kuleba till afternoon of 05 Sep. Later they confirmed it as ” He resigned an hour ago.”
Experts on Ukrainian affairs opine that some of the outgoing ministers can be appointed again with new assignments but this opinion goes against the mind of the master, President Zelenskyy. Therefore , re-posting of any of outgoing looks least possible.
According to western media reports, on Sept. 3, at least 50 people, including soldiers, were killed by two missiles in the central Ukrainian town of Poltava in the deadliest single attack of the war this year.Russian forces are advancing in the east of Ukraine while Ukrainian troops have made a bold incursion into Russia’s Kursk region.Moscow has intensified drone and missile attacks in recent weeks, while Kyiv launched a mass drone attack on Russia’s energy infrastructure over the weekend.
