Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam has shared the details of what actually happened during the protests in his country between 28 Dec 2025 and 11 Jan 2026. He elaborated that it was not a public agitation to change the regime. ”
Only US and Israel were desperate to exploit the anger of our people into a bloody outrage by instigating our people but Irani public failed their nafarious designs, said the Ambassador.
Dr. Moghaddam was addressing to a large number of media persons in a press conference held at the embassy on 29 Jan to apprise the opinion makers about the real situation in Iran.
Here it is worth mentioning that most of the tv channels in Pakistan aired most stuff that was carrying propagating narrative of regime change in Iran. Some of the representatives of these channels were also present in the press conference who’s questions were taken and answered on priority basis for known reason.
Pakistani so called mainstream media, for its own reasons, are depending upon newcomers who work more for less or late salaries. The problem , that they are influenced by the western narrative is common because most of them are already inclined towards western sources of information. English is considered necessary in Pakistan for information and pride as well. This has been pointed out by Irani and Chinese sides in the near past.
In the press conference, according to given figures, 3,117 deaths occured during two weeks’ protests across the country. Among them, 2427 were citizens and security personnel while remaining 690 were the terrorists.
Ambassador referred to the statement of Mike Pompeo on 02 Jan in which he stated , ” Mosad agents are walking along the protesters.” Thus the ambassador hinted at the most of the dead terrorists belonged to Israeli secret agency.
Ambassador noted , ” Our people have defeated US two times in last half year. First during 12 days war in June 2025 and now during the protests from 28 Dec to 11 Jan.”
As the supreme leader , Ayatollah Ali Khamnenei already mentioned that the anger of the people was justified. Yes ! there is inflation and foreign currency rates surged swiftly that affected the people who are already making both ends meet. But the government was also working on the solution to this problem from Mid of Dec 2025.
” But our enemies were conspiring parallel as Mr. Trump held press conference on very next day the protests erupted in Tehran. On 02 Jan, Trump threatened Iran as , ” We are coming “locked” and “loaded” .
President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, as suggested by supreme leader, invited the representatives of the protesters and met with them to sort out the matters that had annoyed them.
Ambassador stated that Iran is ready for any aggression. He said internal agents are more dangerous than the foreign invaders. He said , we would not call for support from anyside but anyone can extend any type of support with one’s own wish and will.
Ambassador divided the phases of protests in 3 parts ;
1- Genuine protests against inflation, currency rates etc started from Tehran
2- Feuled or incited into Riots from Regime Change by the agents of US and Israel (Mosad)
3- Large scale public processions in the favor of the Islamic Republic government
He elaborated the phenomenon from anger turning into agitation against government , actions taken by the government (he mentioned negotiations only and not the actions of security forces) and finally a waive of support for the government.
As far as , Pakistan is concerned, a disturbed and unstable Iran is not in our interest. That is why , the government of Pakistan and military leadership is in close engagements with US. Pakistan is supposed to play its role in keeping US from invading Iran.
But , here a question arises, as Ambassador shared the number of terrorists or agents of Mosad and CIA killed by Irani forces, it is too big number. How they entered into Iran and if they are Iranians , how CIA and Mosad reached them. Internal destructive elements is a continued issue in Iran since June attacks when many were spotted and arrested.
Ambassador rightly pointed out that Iran faces more threats from internal elements than foriegn invaders. The government sent financial assistance to the people in their accounts but this is not the way to tackle the genuine problem of poverty. Iran is supposed to catch the bull from the horns through solid measures to raise the value of its currency and bring the prices of everyday commodities down ASAP.
IRAN REJECTS STATEMENT OF G7 AS INTERVENTIONIST AND FRAUDULENT APPROACH OF MEMBER STATES
Dr. Moghaddam did not mention any nationality of the agents or terrorists. One can only presume in the light of the past, as media reported from Iran, some Afghanis and Indians were found involved in spying against the Islamic Republic.
Iran is supposed to launch a protest to the governments of these countries and expell all foreigners who are indulged in suspicious activities. Iran also needs to express the nationalities clearly ! If there is any other even ! from around Iran as Iran has many enemies and rivals in her own surroundings !
Iran needs badly to improve the economic situation in the country. Hunger is a curse that can take a gentleman to commit any crime including murder even and traitory as well.
