ISLAMABAD : Mr. Isphanyar Bhandara MNA has been nominated by the Prime Minister as a member of the Parliamentary Committee for the appointment of the Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities Rights. He has been accelerating the process by raising this matter before the Prime Minister.
As the parliamentery representative of Pakistan’s least numerous minority communities, many of whom live in distant parts of the country, his inclusion in this committee carries particular significance. It underscores the principle that every community, regardless of its numbers or geographic distance from the center, deserves to have its voice reflected in decisions concerning minority rights and representation.
The nomination also reflects the Prime Minister’s emphasis on inclusive governance and his commitment to ensuring that all communities have a place in Pakistan’s democratic process.
Editor Tazeen Akhtar has hailed the decision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He shared that Mr. Bhandara has always highlighted the importance of the commission in his meetings and presented proposals that were made part of the policy drafts for the establishment of the commission.
