
LAHORE : The Ambassador of Thailand in Islamabad, together with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and met with Mr. Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, President of LCCI, and members of the Executive Committee.
Key Highlights:
• Emphasized the importance of Thailand–Pakistan economic relations
• Supported the FTA and the bilateral trade target of USD 2.2 billion
• Explored new business opportunities across goods, services, and investment, especially halal food and defence industries
• Promoted cooperation in industrial development, technology, and paperless trade systems
• Encouraged improvements in Pakistan’s Ease of Doing Business (EODB) ranking
This engagement further strengthened public–private sector cooperation between the two countries and aligns with Thailand’s policy to expand its presence in South Asia, recognizing Pakistan as a key market in the region.
