Azerbaijan Airline Starting Direct Flights from Baku to the Third Destination in Pakistan, the Largest City Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Achieving another milestone, after direct flights between Islamabad , Lahore of Pakistan and Baku,  Azerbaijan Airlines announced on Tuesday that it is set to initiate direct flights to Karachi from next month, with the first flight tentatively scheduled for April 18.
The airline, also called AZAL, said the move aimed to “enhance connectivity between the two countries”.
Karachi will be the third city in Pakistan to have direct flights from AZAL, following the launch of flights from Baku to Islamabad and Baku to Lahore, the airline said.
The number of visitors from Pakistan to Baku is increasing gradually. Pakistani tourists are selecting Baku as their destination. Moreover businessman community is also a frequent visitor to Azerbaijan thanks to favorable investment and trade policies of the government of Azerbaijan.
Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan having population more than 20 Million. Karachi is business center of the country with around 45% of industry and economy of Pakistan there. Direct flights with this city will further enhance bilateral trade and pave the way to joint ventures between the entrepreneurs of two brotherly countries.
