Refuting plans for ceasefire in the US-Israeli war of aggression, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said such measures often serve as mere pauses for the US to regroup and strategize for future attacks, underscoring Iran’s commitment to defending its sovereignty without compromise.
The statement came when Reuter reported that Pakistan has  proposed two-phase deal as ;
1) Immediate Phase
•Ceasefire starts right away.
•Strait of Hormuz reopens immediately (key for global oil).
2) Follow-up Phase (15–20 days)
•Final comprehensive peace deal negotiated.
•Tentatively called the “Islamabad Accord”.
The final deal may include:
•Iran agrees to limits on nuclear program (no weapons).
In return:
•Sanctions relief.
•Release of frozen assets.
•Broader regional framework for Hormuz security.

On Pakistani side, however, the  Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mr. Tahir Andrabi has denied presentation of any set of proposals on dialogue for ceasefire. He said , “We do not comment on these individual, specific incidents. Our point is that peace process is ongoing.”

He siad,at a time of heightened regional sensitivity, diplomacy requires both discretion and responsibility. We therefore urge all media platforms to exercise due diligence, avoid speculation, and rely exclusively on officially issued statements and media readouts for accurate and timely information.

How did the China-Pakistan Five-Point Initiative Come About ? by Ambassador Jiang Zaidong

Obeservers say , a temporary ceasefire in the US-Israeli military aggression accompanied by the shadow of war, without meeting Iran’s necessary conditions for ending the onslaught, merely gives the enemy a chance to rebuild.
In comments at a weekly press conference on Monday, April 6, Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei addressed claims regarding a proposal for a ceasefire in the US-Israeli military campaign and Iran’s response to it.
He emphasized that a deadline should not lead to any hesitation in defense actions, stating that the experience of ceasefires reveals they often serve merely to create pauses for the strengthening of forces in preparation for further aggression.
He argued that no rational person would engage in such tactics, insisting that Iran’s demands must be respected alongside the avoidance of cycles of ceasefire and war.
Baqaei further stated that the United Nations has often proven to be an instrument of powerful nations, thus when dealing with issues tied to national security, Iran must ensure actions are taken to guarantee a halt to aggressions.
On speculation about a ceasefire proposal, he asserted that Iran had previously articulated its stance clearly. Just days prior, he noted, a 15-point plan was presented through intermediaries, which Iran deemed excessive and unreasonable. Baqaei insisted that regardless of that proposal, Iran has compiled its own set of demands aligned with its national interests.
He emphasized that Iran does not shy away from voicing its legitimate demands, clarifying that expressing viewpoints should not be construed as a capitulation. He stressed that while brave Iranian Armed Forces are active, the diplomatic apparatus also has its responsibilities.
The spokesperson declared that Iran’s criteria are its national interests, security, and the decisions of the Iranian people, affirming that their position remains clear and that they are prepared to communicate their responses when necessary.
Regarding the exchange of viewpoints among mediators, Baqaei did not find it unusual, indicating that such positions had been mentioned through intermediaries since the beginning.
He noted that negotiating under the threat of ultimatums and war crimes is inappropriate, especially when the enemy is intensifying its acts of aggression. He asserted that all focus must be on defending the country.
Furthermore, Baqaei labeled any threats as a war crime, specifically mentioning the repeated US threats to destroy Iran’s infrastructure while simultaneously granting a green light to target civilian objectives.
He insisted that any country complicit in such crimes must be held accountable, warning that all nations should recognize that any collaboration with the United States constitutes a war crime deserving of scrutiny.
In response to remarks by American officials about escalating attacks on Iran while simultaneously discussing negotiations, Baqaei explained that the actions taken by the US over the past year have destroyed any credibility it has for diplomacy, citing America’s breaches of trust and disregard for international norms, noting its withdrawal from approximately 70 international documents in just the past few months.

Axios, the American-Israeli media outlet, reported on Monday that some mediators are attempting to establish a temporary 45-day ceasefire in the current war, during which negotiations to end the conflict would take place. In effect, this means that the shadow of war persists even during these 45 days.

Although there has not yet been an official response to this matter, Axios is generally known as a media outlet for psychological operations of Mossad in the US, particularly regarding Iran.

What follows is an analysis of the Tasnim News Agency’s war commentary group concerning this report:

Trump is likely seeking to retreat from this threat for the third time, fully aware of Iran’s decisive resolve to respond to any insanity regarding power plants and other infrastructure. This type of news may be aimed at preparing for this issue, although this is merely a possibility.

Iran has repeatedly stated that it does not agree to temporary ceasefires that maintain the shadow of war; for example, Iran recently opposed a 48-hour ceasefire. The reason for this opposition is obvious: the American-Zionist enemies, under pressure from the war and confused, intend to exploit the opportunity of usual and non-framed ceasefires to escape from the crisis of ammunition and strategic entanglement.

A temporary ceasefire accompanied by the shadow of war, without fulfilling Iran’s necessary conditions for ending the conflict, simply allows the enemy to rebuild. Moreover, they will maintain the shadow of war over Iran even during this ceasefire, thereby benefiting from their anti-Iranian objectives in military, economic, political, and other domains.

Considering the frameworks that have been repeatedly stated by Iranian officials until now, a “temporary ceasefire maintaining the shadow of war” has no place in Iran’s doctrine for ending the current war.

Iran has announced that the war can only end under conditions that include, among other things, a concrete guarantee against further aggression from American and Zionist enemies, along with several other non-negotiable conditions.

In addition, the matter of the new order regarding the Strait of Hormuz is self-evident; this strait will never return to the conditions that existed before the war.
