Warm Welcome of Prime Minister Pakistan in Dushanbe, Tajikistan

Dushanbe: 30 May 2025 – The visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Tajikistan at the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon was very successful as the PM spent two busy days in Dushanbe, the capital city.

Both leaders held bilateral dialogue on taking the mutual cooperation to next level in all spheres including security, counter terrorism, defense, economy, tourism, trade and energy. Second notable engagement was at the first high level international conference on the preservation of glaciers.

Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir shared with this scribe while interacting in Dushanbe that both states have moved forward in enhancing the cooperation and strengthening relations at G2G, B2B and P2P levels.

Prime Minister arrived Dushanbe on 29th May from Azerbaijan. He was warmly welcomed by Tajik Prime Minister Mr.  Rasulzoda, Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan  Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif returned home on 30th May from the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, after completing the two-days visit.

Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Kholiqzoda bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the Dushanbe airport. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi  also accompanied the Prime Minister.
