ISLAMABAD : Republic of Yemen has strongly condemns Iran’s violations of Yemen’s airspace and sovereignty, including the dispatch of a flight operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Sana’a International Airport, which is under the control of the Houthi terrorist militias.
In a statement issued here by the Embassy of Yemen, it has been stated , ” Gov of Yemen considers this violation a direct act of aggression against a Member State of the United Nations and a clear breach of the principles of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our States, as well as the principle of non-interference in their internal affairs.”
“These violations constitute a serious escalation that threatens security and stability in Yemen and the wider region, while undermining regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace.”
The Government of the Republic of Yemen said , we reserve full right, in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations, to take all legitimate measures necessary to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The continuation of such violations will further aggravate instability and pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.
The Government of the Republic of Yemen calls upon the international community to adopt a clear and firm position condemning these violations, reaffirming the need to respect the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen, and refraining from any actions that undermine its security or territorial integrity.
The Government of the Republic of Yemen also calls for international support to ensure respect for the rules of international law and the implementation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions on Yemen, including Security Council Resolution 2216 (2015).
Accordingly, the Government of the Republic of Yemen urges the international community to unequivocally condemn these Iranian violations, reaffirm its commitment to respecting the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen, and reject any violations of its airspace and territory.
